I went for a run today at dusk, and in the light drizzle. As darkness edged into the sky, the wind blew the rain against my face. I could smell smoke from houses, burning an evening fire in the grate. It mingled with the rain and the wind, and reminded me of autumnal holidays in the countryside. I imagined being away soon in the quiet of rural Wales, returning from a walk, lighting a fire, curling up on the sofa with a glass of wine and the one you love.
