slugs

after the evening downpour,
chocolate brown slugs have set forth across the grass,
their antennae unfurling with a tenderness
that is gentle as a kiss.
they don't seem to be moving,
but they are.
I can't remember the last time my movement was so careful,
so graceful,
so present in the moment.

So poignant and vivid!

Nice to see that you'll also be participating in the river of stones. I'm looking forward to it. :)
