In the house in which I have lived for over a year, and from which I will soon be leaving, I've just noticed a lightshade that I don't remember noticing before. It is a milky glass shade with a dangling strand of cobweb, in which there is an curved energy saving bulb. The bulb is like a twisted marshmallow, but pale rather than yellow and pink. I wonder who twisted the light into this socket, and if they had to stand awkwardly while doing so; and I wonder what other unfamiliar places exist within this house - unnoticed, unexplored and uncharted.

This one sounds like a short story...lovely mysteriousness and vivid description. Your writings are always so original and interesting to read.
I remember your writing from the last River - your words paint a vivid scene. I think even in houses we've lived a long time (and even within ourselves) there are places "unnoticed, unexplored and uncharted."
Thanks Jade and Barb for your kind comments, I'm glad you are enjoying my words.
