I went for a cycle ride today. It was crazy hot, humid and there were lots of hills. I stopped a couple of times to take some photos of the dry Australian landscape. In a field, most cows were lying on the ground looking sun scorched. When I took the picture, a cow froze and stared at me for a couple of minutes, his mouth full of grass. Eventually he flicked his ears and went back to doing his cow stuff. A big yellow butterfly melted past. The hills shimmered blue in the background. The scent of eucalyptus was thick in the air.
