stone #11

Leaving the office into a different soundscape: the sharp, joyous song of a blackbird, hidden in a dark space; the insistent hum of the air conditioning vents; and the steady murmur of traffic.  I cross the road past a shrub sprouting sprays of tiny pink flowers, and they feel like a good sign - a tender blessing.

"Tender blessing" is a beautiful phrase. This stone is so very audible... I could hear the blackbird. :)

'joyous song of a blackbird' - I heard one yesterday too - perfect description.

Thanks Jade and Sandra, it was such a relief to leave work that everything seemed sharper and more alive than the striplights of the sterile office environment!

Wonderful piece and expression of awakening to nature rather than our artificial world. Really like this one.
