stone #29 - birds

birds have collected on the pylon, swept up by the wind like driftwood, dusk drawing them in.  they sit close together, their little bodies warming each other, calling quietly, folding in their feathers, holding tight.

I sometimes wonder how they withstand the gusts and shifting temperatures. Such an inhospitable bedroom, too!

Yes, it does seem like a very cold place to sleep overnight. At least they know they are fairly safe.
